This Privacy Policy applies to the SecBrain mobile app, the website at memos.secbra.in, and the related services that help you capture, organize, and retrieve personal voice notes, transcripts, summaries, and tasks.
SecBrain is designed for personal note-taking and AI-assisted organization. The policy below explains what data we collect, how we collect it, what we use it for, and which third parties help us deliver the service.
What We Collect
- Account data, including your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and profile details.
- User content that you choose to store or process, including voice recordings, transcripts, typed notes, screenshots, image attachments, summaries, tasks, tags, and settings.
- Subscription and purchase status needed to unlock paid features.
- Technical and usage data such as device type, operating system, app version, crash context, and request metadata needed to operate and secure the product.
- Support messages or feedback that you send to us directly.
How We Collect Data
- Directly from you when you create an account, record audio, type notes, upload images, enable screenshots, or contact support.
- Automatically from your device and app session when needed for authentication, syncing, storage, security, subscription checks, and debugging.
- From third-party identity and commerce providers when you sign in with Apple, sign in with Google, or purchase a subscription through Apple, Google, or RevenueCat.
How We Use Data
- Provide the core product, including recording, storage, sync, search, note editing, task creation, and account management.
- Run AI features that you choose to use, such as transcription, summarization, rewriting, task extraction, and screenshot or image analysis.
- Personalize settings such as language, output style, and feature preferences.
- Protect the service, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and keep the app functioning reliably.
- Administer subscriptions, restore purchases, and verify entitlements.
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations.
Third-Party Processors and Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the product, and only to the extent needed for the feature you use.
- Supabase for authentication, database storage, file storage, and server-side functions.
- OpenAI for AI-powered transcription, summarization, rewriting, and related note-processing tasks.
- Anthropic for AI-powered search or analysis features where enabled.
- RevenueCat for subscription management and entitlement state.
- Apple and Google for app distribution, in-app purchases, and sign-in flows that you choose to use.
AI Consent
Before the app sends personal content to a third-party AI provider, SecBrain asks for your permission in the app. The prompt explains what data may be sent, who receives it, and why it is sent.
If you do not grant permission, the specific AI action will not run. You can later review or withdraw this permission inside the app under AI & Privacy settings.
Retention
We keep your account data and saved content for as long as your account remains active or as needed to deliver the service.
If you delete your account, we delete the authenticated account and associated records from our systems, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, payment disputes, or legal compliance.
Your Choices
- You can update your profile and settings inside the app.
- You can withdraw AI consent at any time in the app. Withdrawing consent prevents future AI processing until you grant consent again.
- You can delete your account directly inside the app. Account deletion is intended to remove access and delete associated user data from the service.
International Processing
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. When we use processors outside your jurisdiction, we rely on contractual and technical safeguards intended to protect the data they process for us.
